but this is happening on every single word document on the pc and not just a few, even docs that are copied from a floppy disk and then tried to open have the same problem.

I have w2k running office 97. There are several users setup on this pc and whenever any off them try to open an office document an error says the document is already in use by another user ( that user being the person already logged in). Even if rebooted and another user tries i get the same...

Should I bother with XP

The only reason i am considering XP is that i have all my new pc bits comming in the next few days and a fresh o/s install will be required. I use my PC 80% games and i have had win2k running nicely for about 8 months so should i stick with win2k pro or move to XP?

How do I tell Win2k that my D: drive is a removable hardrive? Its easy in WinME, just right cick and ticl removable but I cannot seem to find how to do it in win2k.

Win2k boot menu question

I had 2 hard drives, 1 with winme and 1 with win2k. The one with win2k has gone now so i want to know how to get rid of the boot menu as i no longer need it, how do i do it?

Has anyone ever come accross this???

I work for NTL and we always get customers complaining about there modem connections either dropping off or too slow blahblah but 95% of the time it is nothing to do with a fault just customer education on drivers ect., but, a collegue of mine has just had a customer who's internet connection...

Yes.I have also downloaded the latest creative drivers with w2k support but this did not make a difference so i went back to the nvidia drivers.

Dual Boot Systems

I have seen a lot of posts regarding dual boot o/s on 1 hard drive but what about two hard drives? I have win98 on 1 hardrive and w2k on another.How can i have both drives connected and choose which one to boot from at startup.
