Around here it's a $100 difference. $175 vs $275 Canadian. Considering the gaming performance (my preferred activity) is almost identical, there's a good reason budget gamers snap them up the moment they hit the shelves.
The 3300X benches almost exactly the same as the Ryzen 3600 in most games. Like, the vast majority of them! The 3100 trails way behind in comparison. For gaming, it's just an incredible value... I really should've grabbed one when my local shop got a small batch in last month!
Okay, I found a screaming deal on a used 3770 chip (and he threw in a free 8gb stick on top!) bringing me back up to i7 and 20GB DDR3-1600.
What. A. Difference! I'd only gone back down to i5 for a few weeks (gave my previous 3770 to my kid) but the difference is so noticeable!
