    That mercedes would have started screwing you, but $200 for oil change is a known maint. issue. it sounds like the only real ones were the alignment and that weird blinker thing. Mazda 3 will definitely be less problematic, though.

    This is EXACTLY what I said last year (?) when the UAW took partial ownership of GM. At that point they were the employer so the them vs us was going to be meaningless and impossible to keep in place. And here we have it. Yeah if union workers are lazy now wait until you cut their pay in half.

    Well going on the package ratings I think it was 7 real watts, same as a CFL, both "40 watt incandescent equivalent" and in actual fact the lumens on this were 425 or something compared to the CFL's 500.

    88 seemingly in good shape with low miles it really is not a bad car. With no rust (if it had none) and pristine (accounting for age of course) interior you'd probably get $2k for it around here since nobody can have cars that old up here, all rusted!

    Based on the excerpt I agree he does nail it. Matt T has among the best political/economic commentaries. They are interesting but also straight forward and appear to be quite accurate.
