I have always used a 5.1 speaker system to play games but I loved PUBG back in 2017-2019. It was basically mandatory to use a microphone to do well, so it is the one game I've used a headset for, and I met some nice people playing it.
I miss the experience.
I am looking for games that also...
A family member has a massive photos directory that contains hundreds of folders, each containing images.
She wants to tidy the directory by only keeping folders that have five or more images in them.
For folders with less than five images inside, she wants to move those images to the root...
Windows has always liked opening new Windows Explorer windows in random places on my desktop.
Does anyone know of a Windows Explorer toolbar button (or system tray icon) that moves current window to certain position (that I set) on my display?
I have two PCs on my network, Upstairs-PC and Downstairs-PC. Both run Windows 11.
I recently had to reinstall Windows 11 on my downstairs PC.
Since then, even though I believe I have set up sharing as normal, when I try to access \\Downstairs-PC, it tells me my credentials are incorrect.
Both...
I have a small case, so can not use a tower cooler.
I will not be overclocking or doing anything too heavy.
Are there are go-to low-profile / top-blow coolers (I think they are the names of the type of cooler I am looking for?) in 2023, or should I just grab an AMD Wraith Prism? (£29)
If it...
I am looking for an affordable microATX motherboard to go with my Ryzen 7 7800X3D CPU, Arctic Liquid Freezer II 240 and RTX 3080.
As of today, these are currently the cheapest AM5 microATX motherboards in the UK:
I bought the Gigabyte B650M K (top one in the table) for £100 on special a few...
I am looking for a reasonably priced 3.5" HDD USB enclosure.
I will be popping a 18 TB Western Digital Purple Pro HDD into it.
I have found the following enclosures that support 18TB hard drives and include a 12v power adapter:
Yottamaster DF6
Supports UASP, unsure about TRIM

My setup:
ASRock B550M Pro4 motherboard (manual)
Logitech Surround Sound Speakers Z906 (manual)
Wharfedale Diamond SW-150 powered subwoofer (manual)
The SW-150 is sitting in storage doing nothing, so I was hoping I could add it as a second subwoofer to my PC.
The Logitech system takes up all...
This is the specific PC in question:

I've been using a Silverstone PF240-ARGB since March 2021 (so around 1.5 years) to cool an AMD Ryzen 5 5600X.
Around two months ago or so, it started regularly (every 30-60 minutes) producing a gurgling / swishing sound that lasts for 2-3 seconds then stops.
It happens whether idle or under...
I currently have two basic 5-port Gigabit unmanaged switches in storage and I'm going to get rid of one.
D-Link GO-SW-5G (released 2012, bought April 2016 for £9.50 new)
Netgear GS205 v2 (released 2013, bought April 2020 for £10 new)
Are there any reasons to keep one over the other?
I have a source image and I want to check a directory full of images, to see if a similar image already exists there.
Anyone got any ideas?
The image won't be an exact match, so I can't search by filename, file size etc.
I am considering buying a used Aspire XC-895 (P/N DT.BEWEK.004) but I need more internal 3.5" HDD storage bays.
Do you think the hardware will easily transpose to a standard ATX case, or do think Acer use a custom motherboard etc.?
In addition, do you think it's compatible with a standard ATX PSU?
I went to a LAN party recently.
I have some photos I'd like to share with those who went, but I'd also like them to be able to add their own photos.
Can anyone suggest an ideal service for this?
Ideally, I don't want them to need a Google or Facebook account.
I want to improve transfer speeds between my two PCs. 100 MB/s isn't really enough.
Our ISP is BT Broadband and we use their BT Smart Hub (sometimes called the Home Hub 6), which was released in 2016.
I am considering buying 2x Plugable 2.5G USB-C and USB to Ethernet Adapter (totals £64) for...
Within MSI Afterburner, I have Power Limit set to max (115%) and Temp. Limit set to max (90C).
I've tried +50 MHz on the Core Clock and 150 MHz on the Memory Clock without issue, so I'm assuming I can go further.
I know every card is different but I am just checking if there are values that...
As I'm sure you can imagine - updating this takes longer and longer each time I get new hardware 😂
Percentages signify differences between last two columns.

The router (only just) struggles to reach every part of the home.
We had a similar issue at a different house seven years ago. We had signal in a specific room but it was very...
On eBay UK, RTX 2080's currently start at £600 (Buy It Now).
That's for a Zotac Amp Edition / MSI Ventus 8G V2 / Palit Dual Fan.
Would you say that's also a good price for a Founders Edition? Or are FE cards worth more/less than the cards mentioned above?
Price checks are not allowed here...
I appreciate your response!
If the router would also need to include a modem, ax will be out of my budget and I really don't want to keep the BT router in play, even in bridge mode.
We have a BT Smart Hub (sometimes called the Home Hub 6), which was released in 2016.
The BT Smart Hub Wikipedia article tells me the modem is "VDSL2".
I am looking to replace it with something more capable and future-proof.
I don't want to pay over £100.
I believe these are my options:
£60...

Have you noticed that, when the backlight is on (either of the two brightnesses), there is a high-pitch whine/hum? (when the room is very quiet)
I am 34 and can hear it.
As soon as I turn the backlight off, the sound disappears.
Very annoying.
I can't find an alternative that allows you to adjust the fan speeds apart from those of the manufacturer of the motherboard, and those utilities tend to be bloated and rubbish.
