Been a bit busy lately but just got round to doing some more testing of the machine. At the moment it's failing memtest, but if it fails it again with known good ram, that would indicate faulty motherboard right? CPUs don't just go bad do they?

You can get into the diagnostics menu by pulling the battery out, holding the power switch on, then putting the battery back in. From there you can reboot the player, load firmware or format the machine which might help. I own a zen micro and they seem to sometimes play up like this.

Today when I turned on my computer the cpu fan stayed off for at least a minute, maybe 2 until it kicked in. I had IE open and stuff while the fan wasn't spinning. Must be because it's quite cold in my room these days, getting into winter.
I've got one and I think it's great. You can just drag and drop music once you have the drivers installed. And maybe it's because I haven't really listened to it using any other headphones but the bundled ones sound great to me and the sound quality can't be beaten.
Thanks for the replies, I figured it was something like smart fan and my room was kinda cold when I turned the comp on so that might be why I hadn't seen it before. It's not because of cool and quiet though, I haven't got around to setting that up yet ;)
Well I just turned on my computer and I was just looking through the window in the case and suddenly near the end of all the bios stuff loading the cpu fan turned off and stayed off until I got to my windows desktop! I've never noticed this before, is it normal? This shouldn't be a hard one to...
