No Post after power off/on, but posts fine with restarts?

Hi All, I'm stumped by this very annoying problem. Every time I shutdown and then power back on, my mobo won't post and I have to reset my bios and redo all the settings. This does not happen when I restart though, only after complete power down. Anyone know whats causing this? Parts are...

New Build: Had but then lost video signal

So after installing the new 1000w psu (indeed the CM Silent Pro M2), I'm still getting instant shutdowns when gaming. Sometimes right when the game is launched and sometimes 1-10 minutes in. They are much less frequent when I turn off crossfire of the r9 290s, so that's how I'm running it...

Thanks all for the replies, and sorry for the delay, I got pulled away from this project by the wife. I reluctantly cleared CMOS and did get video back, it was definitely the CMS setting. It's been a couple of years since my last build and I'm not very familiar with this windows 8 / uefi...

No dont use RAID even though you have a nice RAID card, and a set of SSD's.... if you actually need a suggestion, see below

Figure this one out.... What the heck?!?!

Well, Both the CPU and the mobo are 775 socket. Is this not enough to confirm compatability? Admittedly, it is an older dual core, but not that old! I will indeed email customer support for my mobo... Other ideas? Or can someone confirm that this is probably my issue? Anyone...

Hello All, I have run into what I think is a pretty bizarre issue. Hopefully someone can help me with this one. Ok, I was building a new build for a friend, and the rig refused to post, powered on fine, all fans spinning... but no beeps, and no video feed. I replaced the components...

Increased FSB by 20 percent..... lost video feed... now what?

I've tried multiple video cards so I know it's not the card.... I can't access my bios cus I don't have video What are jumpers?

Apparently it is not.... The problem is that I can not access my bios to put my settings back to stable... Hence the neccessity if a bios reset. I hope I can find that button... Cus that battery will not come out for anything

Maximum settings on mid vs. high end card

If you can play a game at absolute max settings, with everything enabled blah blah blah, is that the best the game can look, period? Or in other words...... would max settings look the same on two 5870's crossfired as it would on a 4870? Obviously your fps would be higher.... but can...
