6800 Ultra or 7600GT

The 6800 Ultra is over a year and a half old, consumes a lot of power as well as many other things that make it least appealing. The 7600GT is a great little card. That's what I'd get.

Help with a Conroe E6600 build

A single 7200RPM Perpendicular 16MB cache drive will be comparable to a 10,000RPM Raptor. IIRC the burst speeds of the Raptor can be faster, but nothing noticeable. If you're going to spend that much on a drive, you might as well go with a RAID0 or RAID1 setup IMO. If not a single 7200.10 will...

Rather than going for one Raptor, get two of these for RAID0. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16822148140 You can go with a lesser size drive with of the 7200.10 series, but this was as close as I could get to the price of the Raptor.

Hey Galvanized, I said STRAIGHT UP in the review that I didn't have/wasn't going to test with a DMM. OBVIOUSLY I know that software voltage monitoring is WAY off. But I'm 16 buddy, so I don't have and wouldn't know how to test using a DMM. We use OCZ because they work.
