has anyone installed raid on this mobo using a flash drive? i just bought two new HDs and want to use them in raid, but i have no floppy and refuse to buy one. if anyone knows how to instal the raid with a flash drive, any help would be awesome. thanks

yeah i did the same thing, got rig of that crap goop stuff and put AS5. but i didn't test the stock goop temps first either. i did like how easy removing the heatpipes and heatsinks was. i have done that to a few mobos in my day and this mobo was by far the easiest of them all.

aright, first off, 3.6 is not a bad OC esp on that vcore. plan and simple, if you want more speed, you need more vcore. i'm running 3.59 on my 6600 with 1.55 vcore. really the only voltages you need to worry about are SSP, vdimm and cpu voltage. your ram isn't the prob either. also, the 965...

i have the same cpu and i am clocked at the same speed as you are. the big difference is that i'm not ever going over 40C under load. orthos, prime95, 3Dmark05/06 running multi loops and that my vcore is over 1.55. if your hitting that speed on air your doing better than i am. 3.59 and 1795...

Multitasking sucks with E6700

i would think that the best way to rule your RAID configuration out would be to reinstall your OS on a single HD. then try multitasking with the same apps that you were having trouble with and see if your getting the same issues. i know its a lot of work, but at this point you tired everything...

i have to say that for the performance you get, this mobo is worth every penny. at stock speeds my pc was scoring 13000 on 3dmark05. OCing my e6600 to 3.59 gave me an extra 2150. once i get my 7800gtxs back to the higher clocks they were at, i'm hoping to hit 17000. i have been reading...
