Radeon 9800 Replacement

I bought my 9800 AGP(4x/8x) back in 1999 (i think) for around $200. Its getting old, the fan is loud and on its last legs, so I'm looking for what a good replacement/small upgrade would be for this card. Really just looking for ideas right now. I've been out of the market for a card so...

AGP Pro...

I have an older system with an A7V133-C MoBo and was wondering what kind of AGP cards would run on it. I see at newegg.com that they list AGP's as 2x/4x or 4x/8x. The MoBo says it has an AGP Pro Slot (3.3v) which runs 1x, 2x, and 4x, so would it be able to run a 4x/8x card? MoBo...

Which is the better setup?

I getting together a DVR system and was wondering what would be the best way to confiure it. I'm going to be getting a Visontek Xtasy 550 with BeyondTV bundle, and most likley the firefly remote from snapstream. I have an Xtasy Everything capture/video card which only does dual monitor...

Capture and Video?

Compaq Presario R3000 Wireless Help

Hi all, I recentlly got a d-link di-624 to use with a desktop i already had and my compaq presario R3000. The problem is that i can get the lappy to see the wireless network, connect, but i can't surf the web on any browers (IE, mozilla). The desktop, which is also connected wirelesslly works...

Mobile AMD Athlon XP-M Pros/Cons

I do not know what graphics it has, I assume it would be an onboard. When I say light gaming I mean NES emulators, mine sweeper, and maybe something like simcity 3000. Nothing like HL2 or Doom3. Would these "small" games still be a problem for XP-M?

Why are laptops slower?
