which speakers?

Cheap and cheerful 5.1 setup I would say is the Creative Inspire 5.1 5300.. Volume is good enough.. and the sub is wooden.. so a good bass and no port noise either, unless you really stress it out.. Would fill the dorm with noise pretty easily I would imagine.. Albert. :D

Optical mouse laser destroy hardware???

SB Audigy 2 - worthwhile upgrade???

IMHO I would say the difference would be negligible, reason being is that MP3s are compressed files, and since they are there is already much quality loss.. and since the Live 5.1 is a very good card, the upgrade difference would not really be experienced.. However if it was used more for say...

Does my 16X Lite-On DVD-ROM drive play DVD-Audio discs?

Alternatively the next best thing you could do it to obtain a disc and see if it will work.. thats the best way of knowing.. if possible borrow a DVD Audio disc first to save your forking out money to buy one to test.. and find it it won't work.. but to be honist you have a very high chance of...

I hope its not the heat protection kicking in.. but I've got a CoolerMaster X Dream (HAC-V81) on the CPU, so it defo should not be overheating.. and I can't see how it could really over heat with only 2-3 second on time.. and there is no way I can check the temp at the moment.. don't have a...

I've e-mailed eBuyer U.K for a replacement.. but I guess since its the weekend nobody is there to read my little ol problem yet :( I don't have another mobo or CPU to test the setup with :( The closest I have is a classic Athlon Slot A 650.. which is erm.. reason why I've got a new comp to play...

I personally don't have one of these yet, but I am thinking of getting one soon. I have heard somehwer that because the wires are "bundled" together as they are, doesn't that mean that there can be an essence of interferance from the neighbouring wires?! It all sounds good, but I'm just worried...

You don't need to be Chinese to celebrate Chinese New Year. Why not just join in with the celebrations? Don't need to be chinese to join in for them. What you just said there was realy to be honist unnecesary, especially when this thread was intended to be a happy and joyous one. :D Albert. :D

Hard Drive upgrade

If you are going to be running both hard drives on the same computer then it will make life alot easier. You can set the 2GB to master and boot from that and the 20GB will just storea any additional information you want to chuck at it. So its like the C: 2GB one will store all the Windows files...
