Question Custom loop - worth it?

Custom loops and AIOs still require maintenance, just in different places. I’m of the general opinion that even AIO coolers are of dubious value over a good air cooler in most situations.

I almost got a Sonata instead of a Mazda 6 in 2009. That generation of Sonata has not aged well at all, but that version of the 6 at least still looks decent even if it guzzles gas.

People with dedicated HT racks will be able to afford active cables when they're ripping out their old Pre/Pro and display anyway. And you don't *need* new cables until you're using a 5K+ display at high refresh.

2017 Toyota Camry and 2017 Honda CR-V

If I were buying one of these two today I'd get the CR-V. The current Camry is a bit long in the tooth, but next year's model looks pretty legit. Better suspension, engine, transmission, and the full safety suite is going to be standard across the line. Should start hitting dealers later in the...

Better cooler in box and 400MHz of base clock before OC is probably worth $20 over the plain 1700. Makes the 1800X a sillier proposition than it already is, though.

Why did AMD release bulldozer if they can still make good CPU's?

Node names and feature sizes are more or less completely decoupled at this point. A "7nm" process is more a collection of fabrication features than any reference to what's happening on a real chip.
