Yes I did. It then shows the saved profile with the name that I give it, but my data is not inside it, it is just showing the BIOS default settings.

There is nothing about enabling oc profile. I am aware of not using spaces for the names. I am storing the profiles without any names for them at all, but the profiles are not being retained.

Perhaps I don't fully understand ASUS O.C. Profile? I used to have a P5Q Deluxe and had 4 stored profiles in CMOS that could be labeled. So, part one of O.C. Profile is that you can save these labeled profiles in CMOS (8 on the P6X58D Premium)? Part two of O.C. Profile is being able...

That's what I thought, I was forced to very finely sand the bottom surface and edges or toss it right now. There was some roughness around the edges that might have kept decent contact from happening, regardless of TIM used. One installation too many, apparently!! Please tell me if a new one...

OK, I will lap, but... This Megahalems (and all of them, I thought) is not flat. It is nowhere near flat. My understanding is that they are not supposed to be flat. If you are talking about a sanding block and making this thing flat, it is going to take forever. Otherwise, is there another...

Have a Megahalems that has been clamped-down on more than 5 CPUs. I know that the surface is supposed to taper up toward the edges so that the clamp-down will flatten it out, but mine seemed to have roughness at one or two edges. I decided to take some 600+ wet/dry and smooth it out (not using...

I have read this in several places. What is the actual reason that Lynnfield runs hotter than Bloomfield as a rule? I assume that getting a chip that has a lower VID to start with may be a factor also?

I did find some notes. The QPI/uncore got to 1.35v, just as you suggested. Anyhow, tomorrow I will have a new W3520 to check out. I decided that I would have a better shot at getting a decent chip with it instead of a 930/950. We shall see.

I did follow the guide went up to 1.35 vCore, then called it off. The others were increased only slightly from stock. I will keep better notes with my next attempt.
