RAID or no RAID

I'm looking at getting a server but I have to agonize over getting RAID or not. Since everyone in this forum seems very smart, I was hoping I could get some help here. I'm looking at a nice $1500 server, SCSI HHD, without RAID. If I were to get RAID-5 with 3 SCSI HDD's, it would cost $2600. I...

picture gallery application

My friend has a Mac and he showed me the iPhoto application that creates a picture gallery on html. You can specify the resolution of the thumbnails and how the pictures are arranged in a row, etc. Is there an application out there for Windows like that? I checked around and found...

i have my IP address now using whatismyip.org but i can't seem to use it with my FTP server. what's up with that? could Comcast have blocked that port?
