I think you are misunderstanding the offer, you do not have to purchase 1 first class + 1 business class + 1 coach class ticket to get the free ticket. ANY 3 qualifying flights will work (i.e. can be 3 coach class tickets).

Also, with a credit card, you don't have to pay your bill for about a month after purchases (without any finance charges). That means your money stays in your bank account for that much longer, accruing interest (albeit very little interest).
