Been using this monitor for a little over a month, and still no problems. With my RGB all the way up to 255, wow! it looks even better. That works better than maxing out the brightness. Great monitor, but don't expect to carry these around for lan parties... that's when LCDs come in handy.
Hey guys, thanks for the replies. I think I fixed the problem. I believe it was the moire settings
that fixed this, but I could've sworn I've tried them before and it didn't work. However, after
another try, I saw that these lines were completely gone. What I did was this:
I switched the...
Update for those curious,
Been using mine for about 2 weeks, and have gotten used to the hugeness of the monitor as well (it doesn't look as impressive now :) ). I'm afraid that I may have to use this as a standard when I purchase future monitors, because the small ones just won't cut it...
Why not wait until the end of the year then? The new opterons are probably due between then and
next year. With their new release and intel's new line of cpus, the price of athlonxps will probably be
replaced by bartons. If you're not in a hurry then just wait it out...
I've heard that KDS monitors tend to break down quite often, and aren't really built to last.
Anyone been using one for more than 6 months? Over a year?
I've also heard they have good hardware support and will replace your dead KDS monitors
if it does go bad, but even if they did have good...
Just because it says DLT3C doesn't gaurantee its a tbred B. I got one from newegg that says
AXDA1700DLT3C AIRGA and according to AIRGA, this would be a tbred A.
I always end up getting the short end of the stick :frown:.
Anyway running stabily @ 200Mhz FSB DDR 400Mhz sync with my 2700 RAM...
Ordered one (XP1700+ OEM) on 4/14 from NewEgg for $50. AXDA1700DLT3C AIRGA...... default vcore 1.5v.
I think it's a T-bred A. I like to o/c by FSB and not by the clock multiplier. First booted up with my Epox 8rda+ motherboard and had an error with the cpu default speed. I changed it to...
Bleh, I got the XP1700+ OEM AXDA1700DLT3C "AIRGA" from NewEgg. I believe that is a T-bred A. Using my 8rda+ I got it to o/c from 1.47Ghz -> 9x 200Mhz = 1.8Ghz with default voltage (1.5v). Both my 512MB 2700 Apacer DDR RAM and the CPU were set to FSB of 200Mhz FSB (DDR 400Mhz) with 6-3-3-2.5...
Wow! I just got my "Grade A" monitor today and boy was it a treat. I have to say that the peanuts I had with my packaging were pretty annoying, and I was pretty surprised how this monitor arrived untouched (seeing that the only protection was a layer of peanuts and an outer layer of some...
I took a gamble with NewEgg and ordered a 1700+ for $50. Will let you guys know the results if interested.
As for googlegear... I think it is a gamble as well... I posted a msg asking dman about his purchase @ googlegear which sounds like it is guaranteed t-bred b. Apparently he ordered 2...
(Sorry, off-topic)
I suppose the new 128MB's no longer run @ 222Mhz DDR anymore. Based on PNY's website both the 64MB and 128MB ti4200 have a stock "effective memory clock rate" of 250Mhz DDR --> 500Mhz. I'm not sure about the 513Mhz you're talking about, but you're right. Obviously, even...
