I disagree. Gay marriage can be framed as discrimination based on sexual preference or based on gender (A man can marry a woman but a woman can't marry that same woman). Gender is specifically a protected class. With polygamy, it is discrimination based on whether you are currently married...

There's zero chance this goes to the Supreme Court. His wife got control of the trust and sold the team. The NBA hasn't done anything. And even if they did, he agreed to allow them to take his team to sell it. And there is no illegal monopoly here. For one, they are not the only professional...

Yes they can force him to do that. He agreed to those rules to be allowed to own an NBA team. He agreed, in writing, that the NBA can take his team away, sell it, and provide him with the proceeds. Either way, the NBA didn't do this. His wife sold the team, so the NBA hasn't done anything here.

New Jersey is the latest state to ban Tesla's direct-to-customer car sales

I've never heard any reason why selling your product direct to customers is bad in any way. What about Apple stores, clothing stores, stores that sell store brand food, corporately owned restaurants? All of those are direct sales from a manufacturer to a customer. Why are they not banned?
