On board sound on an ASUS A8N Sli Deluxe?

Just got some 5.1 surround sound headphones and wonder if the onboard sound is good enough quality to support them? Or is buying a soundblaster a better idea? Ta

Can anyone explain this?

I have two striped. http://img311.imageshack.us/img311/6999/untitled22su.jpg I just want to understand how their performance has gone down drastically that they are level with standard hard drives. Not sure how i disable RAID 0 and would it be risky accesing the drive as a single master? Ta

Hmmm, it seems it may be months ago and system restore only goes back a month. Does anyone know how to restore its raid config and would this be risky?

Onboard RAID. Not sure if any drivers are changed, though i have installed the latest nVidia stuff and that has RAID manager. Might have changed the original drivers? Would drivers really reduce the performance that much? And if so, what to do? Ta

Thanks. Is it always necessary to follow the vendors reccomendations on ram? For example, Asus for the the A8N nForce4 really only suggest Kingston and Corsair, and even then they give limited compatibility in some options.

Also, will a cheaper graphics card be able to run on an nforce 4 mobo? Say a cheaper nvidia/radeon PCI-expresss slot one than the xfx one chosen? Is it worth minimising other components while getting a better motherboard like the nforce4 which allows for more future upgrade? IS that correct?

Thanks alot. Is that GeIL 1GB (2x512MB) PC3200 Value Dual Channel Kit CAS2.5 (GE1GB3200BHDC) (MY-005-GL) of for a nforce4 mobo? Will it have the right pins and is PC3200 fine?

I am looking to build a reliable and totally compatible rig, but am struggling to choose the parts as there is so much choice. All i know is that i am going for the AMD 3000 or 3200 socket 939 CPU. Ram - Do i get that much extra bang for my buck say if i went for two 512 sticks of GEIL...
