The 10GB is hurting my enthusiasm for 3080RTX, I'll have to stick with my 980Ti for now.
A 3080Ti with 20GB for 850~950 dollars is definitely coming later and would have been a "perfect" card if launched now.
The temps you posted seem normal, these are very hot running chips.
The Nvidia reference blower cards quickly hit the 83c temp limit and stay there under load.
From what I can remember, 100% fan speed on the Msi gaming card is still pretty quiet and compared to other aftermarket cards max fan...
I'm sure a 980ti could probably last me until the end of current gen consoles (3-4 years).
It is the new HBM memory interface + die shrink coming next year that has me jealous.
Then again, having the latest tech to play makes the waiting more bearable :)
Wow.
I have the same model in transit from newegg and I'm feeling bummed out for paying 690 for something that might be somewhat obsolete in a years time.
:\
That might be a placeholder price. Keep your eye on it to see if the price will go down to msrp.
Then again, it might sell out before that happens
Microsoft doesn't need to switch from ddr3.
The next Xbox has been designed to over come its bandwidth limitation by incorporating ESRAM on GPU while also having Data Move Engine to help shuffle data around.
While it may require more work form developers/programers it also means that
the next...
They probably want to save the reveal for E3.
The console is still about 10 months away, showing it now might take away from the newness of the ps4 once its launched, or maybe they are still tweaking final look of ps4.
