Heat problem

I figure that when I upgrade my video card or add video capture, then I'll upgrade my cooling as well. In the meantime, I'll be happy the system is stable and working. (Nonetheless, I think it's time to fire up my Acronis True Image and create a new backup. Should do that more often anyway.)...

System won't shut down

I recently wiped my disk and installed WinXP Media Center Edition. I've been loading my software and have run into a weird gliltch -- when I go to shut down the system, it does not power down. I'm not able to identify why this is happening -- maybe someone has an idea? And no, I don't...

Need advice on HDD ghosting and general mayhem

Acronis True Image boots into Linux when you use the boot disk. If the drive doesn't have a physical problem, you can image it at a sector level in ATI and them mount the image as a virtual drive. Once you mount the virutal drive, you just copy off the files you need.

Problem adding Firewire drive to Mac

I've also tried changing the jumpers to slave -- didn't help. I even installed a brand new 40GB WD drive -- system still won't see it. According to the WD site, these drives can be used on Macs. I install the drive but Apple Drive Setup doesn't see it at all. :-( Thoughts?

My question is why use Ghost at all. Check out Acronis True Image. It's a LOT easier to use, less expensive, and the PC Mag Editors' Choice. I like it too. :-) I'm not sure if Ghost will see the SATA drive. TI boots to Linux so I think it would have a much better chance of working. The...
