For those that wonder and dont visit IRC, or otherwise have a hard time with this, read the posts on the first page and notice the inconsistencies? Or is it just me? :)

ECC questions

Its the Tyan Thunder K7 and it has a Phoenix ServerBIOS. Gotta tell ya, love this board, its speed and its stability. :) Thanks both of you for taking the time to explain what it actually does. I like knowing details of things, not just the superficial stuff.

It will rearrange load order of some drivers, and load some parrallel so boot times are faster.

Need fast & stable mobo for P4

Yes, its a 478. I hardly have a clue as to what is available and what is good as far as Intel at the moment as I'm running AMD for some time now (and will). This will be a nice cheap addition to my 'collection'. Any advice is welcome!

Need fast & stable mobo for P4

I got a great deal on a P4 1.7GHz CPU (read: free :D ), and now I'm looking for a motherboard to go with it. I already know I want it to be an i850 chipset based board, but I have no idea on which one to get. I do not care about overclocking, since I feel that at these speeds its not worth...

Alpha 8045 on Thunder K7?

Topic already indicates what I'm wondering: does anyone know if the new Alpha 8045 cooler will fit on the Tyan Thunder K7 board? Since its quite similar to the Swiftech MC462, which won't fit according to Swiftech, I'd like to know sure before shelling out $100 for 2 coolers... -AB-

Netgear RT314 locks up, urgent

Yeah, seems such a lil thing to do, especially when you need it. I dont know, maybe ill take it with me to the states when im there in august and rma it from there. Id hate to drop it in the trash, not cause i was helped so good by them, but i hate throwing away $150 after 3 months of use.

Yeah, thats what i have concluded and since netgear isnt planning on supporting intl. customers with RMA's :( , i just picked up a linksys from a local dealer to replace the rt314.
