I wonder if this will be like PC's have been for the last 10 years where people don't see any reason to upgrade anymore. My S4 (hell, even my older HTC Sensation) does just about everything I want to do with a phone, so I'll probably just keep it for a while.
Assuming the new Skydrive integration works as advertised then I don't see why not. I moved all my big media to streaming years ago. Most metro apps are very lightweight.
I am assuming this comes with Office, right? Most of the smaller Win 8.1 tablets are supposed to now.
Agreed. Even though I never wanted to use my Clovertrail ATIV in my lap, I have used different screen angles depending on what I'm doing. I don't want to be limited to only one angle.
In fact, the ATIV so rarely leaves to docking keyboard that I'm thinking of a more traditional notebook next...
Not sure if this old Windows Mobile HTC Tilt with a stylus and resistive touch display is the oldest or my Samsung Blackjack.
I also have an HTC G1 that I will probably keep forever as a collectors item. I bought that one the day it came out.
Outlook.com
Love it, but I think it only works with outlook and hotmail email addresses. The old version from a few months ago was complete crap, but the new one is pretty awesome.
That's exactly what I've been waiting for. 1080p 5" with the badass 41mp camera. I'd drop my s4 for that. I'm not particularly attached to any apps or features on Android.
I wish the case companies would do their own drop tests showing how effective their case is. IMO is a foregone conclusion that I will be using a case, but I really have no idea how much benefit I am getting from it.
Not to mention that with intents and default apps you can make it "just work" the way you want it to.
I get that to fully take advantage of Android that you need to be a bit of a power user, but this IS AnandTech forums, right?
I'm surprised you don't like reading on the Nexus. I thought it was fine on my older 4.5 inch HTC Sensation. It was good enough that I never wanted to tote around an extra device for reading.
I'm with Ravynmagi on the suggestion of a Samsung Note or other up coming 6+ inch phone. There are lots...
At first I was thinking 'yeah I don't use any apps' then I got to looking and realized I've accumulated quite a stable of apps and depend on them when I need it, just not everyday stuff.
