Yep. I think it'll only become more skewed towards the "normal" range as Steam gains more popularity among the non-gamer crowd. For instance, I bought my mom the Bejeweled pack for her laptop and that's about as resource intensive as umm... Bejeweled?

Final Fantasy XIV online!

The EQ clone subgenre is pretty strict about limiting item distribution. If you catch the carrot(s) fast, there's nothing to keep you paying. Rare drops, rare mobs, or timers are all designed to keep you addicted to that path. Ugh... Talking about these MMOs makse me angry and sad. So much...

Emulation on the PS2

Yeah, I think it does. I don't think we can mention specifics on this forum, but most of them work pretty well. The SNES one lags with audio, although I haven't used the PS2 for emulation in like 4 years so they may have fixed it by now. Wii is 500,000x better with its Channels and SD card...

Yep. It's been a few years since I played the older DOS ones that run at 50,000 FPS without a program to slow it down, though. I really miss the Point-and-Click Adventure genre that seems to be dead today, especially the humorous variety like Day of the Tentacle or Sam and Max Hit the Road. :(...

WTF, did they toss a live horse off a cliff??

I'm not sure if this specific incidence is real, but there have been real horse(s?) killed in movies. One is from an old movie (30s-50s?) with an Indian (the feather kind) name, possibly Geronimo? I'm not motivated enough to find a link for it. Maybe Snopes or Wiki has it.

Sure. I've seen beheadings and mutilations and all sorts of violent, gorey train wreck videos over the years from the internet- I could always use more painful images in my head. Just no scat please, unless it's tasteful.
