I'm lost. Are you saying this RAM is going to be 5-5-5 on every mobo or just the DS3 ? I've ordered this because the crucial site lists it at DDR2 - 800 4-4-4
Thank you very much ! Awesome deal. I almost bought the PC2 1000s which went out of stock at mwave, but i really dont need anything faster than ddr2 800.
Awesome!
Microsoft remote looks nice. I've always liked microsoft when it comes to ergonomics. My favorite keyboards and mice are always microsoft. I like that remote, and the sideshow feature. I've got my htpc connected to my projector, so it'd be very convenient if i didnt have to turn on the projector...
The reviews on the Thermaltake on newegg are not "almost" flowless, they ARE flawless :) 22 people gave them 100%.
This one is 650W versus Corsair's 620W and it's cheaper and without a rebate.
I ended up getting it and I think i'll keep it. Happy so far.
For people who are curious:
I've installed mine last weekend. It's the quietest i've owned so far, quiter than my old zalman. I'd be curious to see how it compares to the Corsairs, but i like mine so far.
Let me tell you though, the modular cables, are not so modular. You end up using almost...
Which is not a remote control, just a display device, right? I'm also looking at the new Philips ones. They look good, but i'd like bluetooth instead of IR. I did have the microsoft IR keyboard and remote, and i wasn't happy with performance.
Thanx!
I've been reading about this unit in many places. I'm not sure if this is the right forum to post, but does anyone know if this unit is available? and where?

I received my Mushkin's yesterday. The same problem occurs when i plug them into slot 0 and slot 2.
they only work on slot 1 and 3.
if i install all 4 sticks, only slots 1,2 and 3 work.
I think my motherboard's slot 0 is problematic.
When you say "better", could you elaborate on that please? Is it quiter? I see it has a bigger fan, but i haven't seen any real comparisons. Is it more efficient?
I'm in the market for a new power supply and i was waiting on a good deal on the corsair 520, but this one seems like a good deal too.
A friend of mine bought the same memory on P5B deluxe. He had issues at first, but when he applied the 104 bios update, it was ok. His problem was the motherboard was recognizing 2GB memory although he had 4 sticks of 1GB.
I think it's a good memory, but like i said i ordered the mushkins...
I've read that the 8-pin is for dual cores. I've got a E6400. Does that mean i have to connect the 8-pin power supply or is 4-pin connector also fine?
If I have to connect 8-pin, then should i buy two of those 4-pin extension cables?
Thanks again.
Thanks everyone for their input. I do not want the power cable to go around the video card. I'd like it to go around the motherboard and come down to the plug.
I also noticed the cpu power plug is 8-pin on the motherboard but the cable is 4-pin on my existing power supply. Is that a concern...
One other question: I've got the Antec P180b case with Asus P5B Deluxe motherboard. It seems like i'd need a power extension cable for the 4 pin 12V cpu power connector. I've searched for it with no success. Do you know where i could get it?
