Hello, I was wondering if someone with more knoweldge about computers could help me solve a problem. I recently bought a 20" inch HPW2007 monitor and an ATI X1650pro video card for an older computer (P4 3.0Ghz). I am now having issues with the screen blinking on and off while playing 3d video...
Thanks for your reply! I tried all of that and still nothing. I re-installed windows and it did the same thing. Anyone have any ideas as to what may be the problem?
Hopefully someone will be able to help me fix a weird problem I am experiencing with my video driver.
The issue I am having is that when I install my ATI drivers, windows will not boot up. It was working fine but, I had a stick of RAM go bad that was causing hard lock-up's.
I first...
Don?t get me wrong. I love my X1800XT! It just takes getting used to after having an Nvidia card for so long. With my 7800 all I had to do was download Extreme-G drivers and hit clock freq in the driver panel.
With ATI I have had to mess with the CCC, ATI tool and tray tools but, I am...
I am glad you asked these questions! I was wondering the same things. I just sold my 7800GT and bought an X1800XT. Overclocking with ATI is a lot diffrent than with Nvidia. Not nearly as user friendly.
Yeah I tried that one too. I just installed the patch that was released but it still dosen't work. I don't know what the hell is going on.
It plays fine on my system that has the 7800GT...It just may be an ATI thing.
I bought the game because I loved CIV 2 but it wont play on my 9800 Pro. They need to get that patch out. I tried doing al the fixes but none of them worked.
My 7800 runs fine on my 480W Thermaltake 20pin PSU with the CPU and GPU overclocked. I only have 18A on the 12v rail.
It might not be ideal but it works.
The most I have overclocked my BFG 7800GT is 485 core and 1.15 on the memory. Runs very stable at that setting and get me 7904 on 3dMark05 so I am happy with it.
