bh photo video supplier - any issues ?

B&H has always been reliable for me. With Covid though EBAY seems to be the quickest market for anything I need. There is no rhyme or reason to Amazon right now.

lifer...yes DVI is an option on the WMM menu , i don't know but it just looked better than the DVD quality when side by side before convereting to dvd via nero

Thanks everyone... I tried Windows Movie Make and got it to do what I want but even encoded at DVI quality, the pictures lost a little integrity (if that is the correct word). I'll try one of the others mentioned here and let you know.

I am trying to make slide show dvd's with music for a present. Picasa has a good interface but limits you to one song. I have Nero Vison but the transitions don't seem to work like I want them to with the music. Does anybody have any other suggestions for good slide show software with...

sorry to hear your experience with Sony hasn't been the same that I have had. As I have said, I live right by the service center and the only time "I dropped my Sony" camera and was truthful they fixed with no questions asked and it took less than a week. I think we can all appreciate...

That's probably what I like the least about my H-10 when using manual settings. I know you can't compare the alpha and the H-10 but good to know.

I have always had good luck with Sony so that is the reason for that. I have had to recently bury my DSC-V1. I have a DSC-H10 and a DSC w120 so it just seemed natural. The D40 has had some nice review on dpreview and steve's so that is why I was looking at that and the price at Costco...

I don't know about how serious but my personality is such that when I start something I want to learn it the right way and move up progressivley. Skiing, black belt, etc. As for used/refurb, I am the king of refurb. I have a refurb zune, ipod, iphone, sharp lcd from hot deals, etc.

Thanks for the feedback both of you. Mostly looking to improve photos in an indoor setting with low light and my kids are starting to get into more sports now so I want to capture some better moving shots. So scratching the E330 off the list it's down to the alpha or the d40. Thanks!

what's the general consensus on sony cyber-shots?

I have a w-120 which we use when not toting the DSC-H10. The 120 takes some pretty nice picutres and you don't even notice it when walking around. I travel a lot and it takes some abuse and keeps on going. Before that we had a V-1 which i sadly had to burry this year but took good pictures...

So... how do you organize your online photos?

flickr here for our trips but sometimes it is a real pain uploading ......when I do put them on flickr much like above i create a set for every "event".
