Abit NF7 owners - BIOS option questions ...

The PCI is locked at 33, however I don't have that board so can't help with # 1.

Tnx karmasalad, they've got the 770tft at our local Best Buy and it looked good, you got a good deal from Dell.

Which LCD monitor to buy?

The main reason I'm looking into them is we're moving to a new place and our computer area is going to be much smaller, I think we're going to get a more compact desk and am looking to save a lot of space. C'mon guys, there has to be more of you using lcds out there.

Tnx yeathom, I was looking at the Sony SPM-M81, an 18.1", I think I'll do some digging at the review sites. I wonder if the latest LCDs are any quicker at refreshing.

Which LCD monitor to buy?

I've been looking into 17, 17.5, & 18" LCD's. Anyone using one this size and can tell me the good, bad, or ugly about LCDs. I do some graphics, a little gaming, and a lot of surfing if that helps for the use.

How hot is too hot?

I run my t-bird 850 at 1000 (9x112) and get these temps: Idle or surfing: 30-31c Games or Seti: 40-43c Ambient case temp: 21-22c I've got good cooling in my case and an Alpha 6035/ystech HSF combo/artic silver. A lot of my friends have about the same temps up to 47 or 49c running Prime.

ATA 100 Cables

Thanks Pederv for the quick reply , I got some rounded machine made ata100 cables today on sale and hoped I could use the one on the cdrom, the other one is going on the hd.

Can I use an ata 100 cable for a cd rom drive? I thought I read somewhere that you have to cover one of the pins in order to do this.

Anyone help me on this type of ram..

Crucial ram works very well in the Abit KT7 series boards, especially the cas2 that you have, many people get from 145 to 155 fsb with it.

Bank Interleave question: [SPD, 2 BANKS, 4 BANKS]... say what?

Anyone dealt with Outside Loop or the Overclockerz store?

I got my board and Tbird from Outside Loop before Xmas, arrived on time and worked first time. Not the cheapest place to buy, but reliable. I've been very satisfied with their service. KT7 Tbird 850@1000 (9x112) Alpha 6035/YStech HSF

BEST Memory

I'm running mushkin rev 2 at 150, havn't tried to go any higher but am quite happy with performance. Tbird 850@1000 (9x112) on KT7. I got my 256mb for $150 direct from mushkin. A lot of other people I know are using memory from OCZ, check them out http://ocz.safeshopper.com/11/cat11.htm?623
