Cascading folder permissions royally f-ed up

Further, I know the phone will "work" in China with the existing SIM card. What I want to know is if I buy a local chinese SIM card (e.g. from China Mobile) and put it in the phone, will that work?

I bought a FULL PRICE phone directly from an Apple Store. There was no subsidy. I then subsequently walked into a Verizon store, showed them the phone and said, "I want to use this phone on your network".
