Hi, What sort of performance gain should I expect when upgrading from my current R9 270X to a R9 390? I don't plan to go above 1080p for my gaming needs. JC3 is the game I am planning to upgrade for. I have a feeling that 270X should suffice...(as I am keeping my expectations to about 30 fps...

If it's the blue screen error that you are getting at the start of XP installation, you need to change the setting in bios (AHCI to IDE....that's what worked for me.)....but I think you might have already tried that. If you are giving it another try let me know if you have any luck.

Thanks. 3.5 Gigs for XP is no issue as I plan to use this OS for FEAR/FarCry/Homeworld/PoP-TSoT/NOLF/Commandos.....and a few others.

Thanks...but the crazy thing is that barring the gfx card price the rest of the components seem fairly comparable...(there is some difference but not much). 270X price here is around 300 US $ while 280X is around 420. Plus all I can install is a gfx card...I am not at all comfortable with...
