totally agree with this suggestion. gotta share the burden and share the joy. it's too easy to be kind to visiting relatives when they're staying at someone else's house. and it keeps everyone's focus on this as a temporary stay. the OP's wife will have to push strongly for this.
"dim sum" - literally, choosing heart. or picking what pleases you
i still like the personal servers. i was waiting for my parents and had to politely decline the servers for 20min... once my mom came and sat down, they all flocked over like seagulls and my dad had to walk through them...
Dim Sum virgin! j/k
The receipt is on the table and the servers mark/stamp as your order per dish. Different prices per dish (small ~$1.20, med ~$2.00, large ~3.00, special ~$4-5, depending on the area). It's ok to ask the server what's in the dish and refuse if you don't like it...
my sis and her fiance were in the same boat when they started dating... a white lie get interpreted as lack of trust in child/parent relationship, etc. and a lot of hush-hush and second-guessing of how my parents feel about then boyfriend.
fast forward seven years to the present, they're...
Fook Yuen is pretty good. Have you tried dim sum at Zen Restaurant? It's further down El Camino, but I usually take Millbrae Exit off 101, and go north on El Camino for a few blocks. It'll be on the right side.
If OP likes vegetarian, there's one on Jackson, between Grant and Stockon...

Correct me if I'm wrong... in Exodus 11-12, it talks about "every firstborn in Egypt will die" and I believe that includes the Israelites too. However, God instituted the Passover where the angel of death will not enter and kill the firstborn because it'll see the bloodmarking of the doorway...
ah, this thread won't die because we love to give advice and OP's picking for sympathy. He even admits the right to just listen and not change.
I agree w/ most people, it's the attitude/perception. In due time (since OP's a Christian?) God will use circumstances to break that down and...
St. John's Presbyterian (in SF, Richmond District) has a pretty good interior and decent lighting.
Do you have any denomination preference? West Portal Lutheran and Ebenezer Lutheran are decent, but I'm not sure if they require a Lutheran pastor to officiate or be part of the ceremony...
