Here's the situation. I have a Win2k domain using Group Policy, and I need to reset the permissions on all folders under the "Documents and Settings" folder to their default permissions (ie. %username%, administrator, and system with Full Control, and nobody else listed). Here's the problem...

Disallowing certain attachments in exchange server?

I am new to exchange, so please don't flame me. I cannot find a way to block users from sending / receiving files by file type. I can only find a way to do it by size. I would like to prevent users from sending / receiving things like java script or visual basic applets, and also things like...

Unless you are truly interested in understanding the ins / outs of subnetting, etc., why not just spend $30 bucks on a cheap cable router to use for a DHCP? It will handle up to 250-ish addresses (depending on brand) so you don't get a headache. You can devote your time and energies to wiping...

Safe to buy refurbished hardware?

I'm with DaveSimmons. Usually, equipment has a warranty for a slightly shorter period than they expect the equipment to last. For example, typical life expectancy on a hard drive is a little over three years. Consequently, you see a lot of hard drives / computers with three year warranties...
