I would buy the 1900. You would be surprised at how much the extra bit of cache will take you. Anyway, the 1900 is relatively cheap, and is better for overclocking.
Anyone here have an X-Box and mod it. I am about to replace the LED lights in the front panel and I have recolored the jewel. I was just wondering if anyone else has had any cool ideas or experiences with an X-Box.
I have never had any type of floppy fail on me. Then again, it is pretty rare that I use them anymore aside from BIOS upgrades or registry backup. Anyway, I use Memorex floppies, and they seem to work great when I do use them.
The first external devices have hit the market and external SATA is becoming more and more common. Supposedly it will replace all PATA devices by 2006. However i have yet to see even internal SATA optical drives. But once those come on the market, you should even see external SATA optical...
It is probably more likely a software problem than a hardware problem. Check the task manager and see what program is used the most CPU power. If it doesn't show up, it could easly be spyware/adware. Run Spybot Search and Destroy, a free program that can be found with a simple search on...
A switch in a network sense, is a device used to connect two or more computers within a network. A router is a device that splits an ethernet internet connection between two or more computers.

A question that I have long been wondering but never asked:
How do you determine the right amount of wattage for your rig. I built my own rig, and I think the power supply might be kicking the bucket, but I wanted to know how you determine what power supply watts you need.
Aside from that, I...
Actually getting one that is recommended by your ISP is prefered. It is a gurantee since you know it will work. I ordered an external ethernet one off a website and it wouldn't work with the ISP I had. So be careful!
It may be worthless now, but when HL2 and Doom 3 come out and he can run it faster than a Kenyan Olympic runner on crack, i bet he won't be complaining!
Personally I like the idea of getting a 9800 over a 9500. In terms of the CPUs, they don't make a big enough of a difference for me to pick one over the other. A big question you need to ask yourself is how much HD space do you need. 40GB sounds a little small, but 80 sounds too big...at...
