No, there wasn't. I'm not even entirely sure that it was a "short" exactly. All I know is that it worked out of the case, so I placed it on the risers with no screws. It still worked, so I put the screws in one at a time. After I put one of them in, it wouldn't POST, so I backed the screw back...

Air Flow, but Room to Grow

I've got the Armor, and I've got a friend with the 900. The Armor is the bigger of the two, so if overall size is a factor, there you go. On this, it sounds like you need to pick out just how much "room to grow" you want. Personally I like the Armor more (obviously since I bought it) but...

Which memory for the ASUS P5K Deluxe?

I've got a pair of Ballistix just like the ones you have picked out in my Deluxe, only at 1000MHz instead of 1066. They're great, no complaints at all.......go Crucial. Edited: Becuzz i Tipe gud.

D'oh! I should have mentioned that in the first post. I had her take the side panel off and point a small fan at it, in case it was a thermal problem, and it didn't do anything, so I'm thinking it's not a temp problem. So with that....we're thinking maybe motherboard?

I just put my first rig together today with the P5K Deluxe. Everything plugged in and it boots just fine. So, I'm pretty happy. As for extended use...I don't know yet. As to the IDE thing, you can plug two IDE devices into one IDE cable, so the one IDE header is fine as long as you have SATA...
