WinME Lag Problems...

You probably need to disable System Restore. This is a utility that is always running and takes "inventory" of your system at certain intervals. When it does this it can cause the symptoms you described. Right click on My Computer, click Properties, click Performance tab, click File...

Must agree with the rest, fella. Thermal goo is essential! It is literally the truest bridge for cpu and HSF. Just imagine all those microscopic gaps!
