I wish the Dragon+ had an AUX connector (my SB Live! card did).
I did use the external connectors, but the jack on the WinTV card sucks.
It cuts in & out over time -- may be heat related.
I know I could hack into the jack and tighten the connection.
I've got it resolved using the CD-ROM...
I removed the connection to CDROM2 (connected to my CD-RW),
and the sound to the WinTV card has improved.
I have submitted a case to Soyo to see why this happened.
I really don't need the audio connection to the CD-RW,
but it should be a viable option.
I have the 1800+ processor, and, finding some tweaks online,
bumped my numbers from:
CAS 2.5 - 3 - 6 - 3
to
CAS 2 - 2 - 5 - 2
SiSoft Sandra's memory test gave me a result of +35% throughput.
Not bad!
I did find that setting the performance mode from NORMAL to TURBO
was a bad thing -- made it...
I'm using Soyo's on-board sound, and have installed the latest drivers from C-Media.
I've got the CD-ROM input connected to my WinTV card, and the other connection to
my CD-RW (using SPDIF for my primary CD-ROM).
Unfortunately, the sound is pretty low. This was not the case with my old DFI...
