MSI Geforce4 Ti4400 doesn't have an MSI HSF?

I highly doubt that newegg is opening MSI boxes and replacing the MSI boards with nVidia reference boards. Considering there aren't that many nVidia reference boards circulating around, especially to retailers, this just isn't likely. It's also unlikely that MSI is shipping nVidia reference...

Well, hmmm . . . why not pick up the SS51 and sell the old case, power supply, and motherboard? I'm sure you could find a buyer for some or all of those pieces, and then it wouldn't set you back the full $300. As you mentioned, the upgrade to a GeForce4 wouldn't be all that useful at 1024x768...

Differences in Crucial 256 DDR PC2100 Ram?

I think that the only significant difference between the two chips is the "8T" on the US chip and the "16T" on the MY one. IMO, this indicates that the former chip has 8 banks of memory, while the latter has 16. In other words, the 8T chip contains 8 256Mbit chips, while the 16T contains 16...

Mac Question

I think those iMacs only used SO-DIMMs, like those found in laptops; it was only later that Apple moved to standard DIMMs for the iMac. Check the specs on the machine. If it turns out that the iMac does use standard DIMMs, then there should be no problem using that memory. Good luck, Nick

Unknown USB Controller driving us MAD!!!

Have you installed all the motherboard drivers? Windows sometimes has trouble autodetecting USB controllers, especially if they're USB 2.0 ones. What motherboard do you have and what operating system are you running? Nick

Has anyone ever converted a laptop LCD screen to VGA for a normal PC?
