Have you tried increasing the polling rate? I haven't noticed this issue with mine, but the g700s uses a different sensor than the g700.

Ok, thanks guys, I've decided to hold off for the time being, so I can have a proper think about it. I can't see myself buying a Razer mouse, a couple of friends own some, and they look like toys.

Catalyst says that my firmware is up to date. It's ok, I'll give it a go over the weekend. If it works out, then great, if not, then it's only 7%, I still got a good card for the money I spent.

By two BIOS switches, do you mean it has dual BIOS, with a physical switch between the two, so if I cock it up, I can just switch to the secondary BIOS?

Ok guys, I've picked up an xfx 290, it has Ver P.0 written on it, so I don't know if that counts as 'old stock'. Seems to be going well so far. I got a BSOD in Max Payne 3 (in the menu, not even in game...) but otherwise all is well, been playing BSI for a while, and pleased with the frame...

Thanks for that. I'll have to think about whether the extra 4% from the extra CU is worth it, compared to a simple overclock with the fan set to 55%. Considering my display is 1080p, I doubt there is currently any game that will pose a challenge to even a stock 290 at the moment?

I don't mind re-learning GUIs, it's just that with the last Radeon I owned, the videos were quite washed out in WMC, and it took some hunting, and some registry tweaks to fix it (not completely, but enough for it to not bother me). It really shouldn't be necessary on a $500 piece of hardware...
