I am building a new computer and the last step is RAM. Is it possible to upgrade from 8 GB to 16GB later on, as in can I go with 8 GB RAM 2x4GB and later get another 2x4GB or even 2x8gb? I'm getting 3570K, Fractal Design Refine R4, Seasonic X750, ASRock Professional Z77, SLI GTX 670. I worry...

Installing SLI 8/8-- can't skip a slot?

Forgive my lack of understanding but as I can tell, you have to use the top two PCIE slots for x8/x8 else you get 16x/4x. Cards overheat, is there anything I just am missing here? Every youtube video I have looked at skipped a PCIE slot (unless it isn't a PCIE slot...). Don't most cards require...

How does the 7970 fare against the PNY GTX 670 2gb that was on here once for $250 after MIR and V-Me? I take it small percentage faster across the board?

I understand that for terms of noise I would be better off with a lower power supply. It seems like if I were to OC I would be better off with 750 just in case but just in case may be an impossible situation. You say that the SLI 2nd card is only about 60watt at full blast?

I'm looking at the Antec CP-850 for $125 or the Platinum 660 for $150 plus ten shipping, or the X750 for $150 free shipping. Looking for as quiet of an option as will suffice in terms of power.

Hot Prices for Samsung 840 120GB & 250GB

It's up to $96.45 now. This is about the right price point but I am worried that I read the 840 series is not reliable as a whole/avoid. Anyone have a remedy series or is it a case of nothing but avoids(?)

SLI Bridge, newbie Q

I am trying to decide between the ASROCK X77 Extreme4 and the ASUS Sabertooth X77, would the bridges included let me set it up 8x/8x (as I understand it this is just as fast as 16x/16x in theory) as I don't want to be stuck with 16/4. Thanks.

SLI Bridge, newbie Q

Makes sense and if you want to try to talk me out of SLI note that I am upgrading from 3870 Crossfire Mobility (no cfx as it didn't exist yet). Turns out I just want to get as quiet of performance as can be had.
