New installation

alright so I just reinstalled a certain version of vista and I reinstalled some programs and drivers on my computer and noticed this strange small box in the upper left corner of my DT. I have no idea what the heck it is clicking on it to no avail, and checking running processes shows me nothing...

DirectX 9.L will be a DirectX 10 for Windows XP

when will the mayhem end and MS just play nice so we dont have to buy new slowwer os's.... I think there will eventually be a dx10 compatible version for xp their just telling us its not for xp to sell some more vista's
