Dead Motherboard

What would be the symptoms if a motherboard stops working. I have a computer that when I switch it on, all the fans run but I get no display. There are no beepcodes to point me to a particular piece of hardware so I started to think it might be the motherboard itself. Is this possible? What...

psu out?

My friend has a computer that when it is turned on the lights on the mouse and keyboard go on but no other signs of life occur - no fans or motherboard lights go on. Does this sound like the psu has gone out or do the lights on the keyboard and mouse indicate that some other piece of hardware...

abit kg7-raid and xp

Anyone with the abit kg7-raid motherboard using an athlon xp? The Abit website says it is compatible up to the 2100 model but I'm curious if anyone has used something faster or even the 2100.

Thanks, can I get any other confirmations/ideas? so recap - I still get the beep code for video problems off and on but I've tried different video cards both pci and agp and it made no difference. When I press the power button it takes 15 seconds or more for the computer to actually begin...

I don't have another power supply to test, would a bad power supply cause the video not to function? The monitor is fine, I've tried different video cards in the system and none have worked.
