2 seconds is a big deal to me. We have satellite at work and there is a 2 second delay on that, which is why I want something real-time (cable isn't an option).

I'm trying to get CNBC on my PC at work, and I want it in real time. I know I could do something like slingbox, but there's a 2 second delay that's a problem. Is there a way to get CNBC on my computer in real time? An online place, or a way to slingbox it w/o a delay? Thanks for your help.

new notebooks with "stick"?

I'm looking for a new notebook, but I can't find any that have the "stick" device that I use as a mouse. I hate using the touchpad and much prefer the stick. My old Dell has both, but all of the new Dell notebooks I'm looking at only feature the touchpad. Can I add the stick as a feature...

Can I contribute to a 401k and IRA in the same year and receive tax benefits on both? Also, the max 401k contribution in 1 year is $14500, is this the total amount allowed (employee+employer) or just the max employee amount allowed (i.e. the amount can go over $14500 if the employer matches...

screen won't resize

When I try to change resolutions, my screen will change to that resolution but it will be much smaller, with black all around the edges. For example, when I try to go to 800x600, my desktop will show just in the center of the screen, with about 3" of black all around it. I updated my drivers...

are there any filesharing programs that will work over a schools firewall? I currently can't use any of the good ones (kazaa, bittorrent, etc.), but have heard there are other programs that can get around it. Anyone know of any?
