I had my ethernet cable from the modem directly connected to my laptop and everything was working fine.
Then I unplugged it and connected it to my deskto and then back to my laptop but it now only connects to modem without getting an IP address...keeps aquiring network address.
However...
I just finished making a little flash animation and uploaded it on youtube. Since it was choppy when I uploaded the original flash .mov file I converted it to .flv but I get some strange behaviour. Look at the first bean on the top left, just before it's falling..it's like hanging there...
actually they both have 3gb of ram (that link shows a diff config than what i saw in store). Here's the differences as far as I can tell:
Acer uses DDR3 vs. DDR2, more portable (14" vs 17"), has bluetooth
HP has higher resolution (1.3MP vs 1MP), probably better sound system (Altec Lansing)...

...it's the 4736Z from the list
Just finished the game. What a blast. Warhead here I come!
BTW, is Warhead supposed to be better optimized to offer slightly better performance for same quality specs?
Now this is weird. I did the hack to change the settings from High to Very High and the only change in fps is losing 2 fps for min. FPS. Average and max remained the same. I dont get it
agree, i've played it a bit so far and love it.
What are the dx10 effects ur talking about? Would I see them if I do the Very High settings hack for XP? Or are they dx10 only? And is it worth it over higher framerates on High settings?
I've just re-tested only changing the resolution to 1280x1024
Avg. FPS = 48.1
Min. FPS = 32.8
Max. FPS = 58.8
Are these bumps in frame rates worth giving up the extra screen real estate?
Just ran the benchmark and got the following numbers:
Avg. FPS = 36.8
Min. FPS = 26.6
Max. FPS = 43.9
Video settings: 1680x1050 and everything on High. (0 AA)
System:
Windows XP 32 bit
E8400
4GB
GTS 250 1GB
So would you consider these framerates "playable" or should I turn down...
