For the string one: Light string 1 at both ends and string 2 at one end. When string 1 is finished (should be half an hour) light the other end of string 2. From the time the other end of string 2 was lit until the time it burns out is 15 minutes.

LSAT/GRE Test

Sad, sounds like what happened to a kid I worked with in HS. His pneumonia was misdiagnosed, and he basically drowned in his sleep at home.

I don't know how the TimeSpan class works, but just glancing at that code I notice your for loops are a bit screwy. You want to use "==" for comparison not "=". You are basically never entering the loop because you first set the StepDuration to 100, then set it to 0 (which is true) so it exits...

How about this... To find out the number of digits in your number take the log of it, add 1 and truncate the decimal. Once you have the number of digits "length", you can just use a for loop. Here's some pseudo code
