Hi again I did try that before as I have 2 160 gig hard drives (IDE) and 1 SATA 160 gig. 1 DVDRW and 1 DVD ROM I took out both roms and left just the one HDD. But it still happened. This doesn't mean though that the Zalman is under performing, or has a fault. I think I shall order the antec...

I have got thermal paste on at the moment, but not arctic silver. I wouldn't dream of using PC without it. So suggest I try an Antec PSU. I hear the Trueblue got a fantastic rating in toms hardware. I'll give it a go. Lee

KV7 - memory issue

I have KV7 motherboard, and installed two sets of 512Kb (DDR400) Memory. The boot up screen only detects 512Mb I've tried taking out one stick to see if either of them is faulty. Have tried all combinations of banks. Is there anything in the bios that allows this to get sorted. Lee

GF4 ti4200 - Dell 1800FP

I have just tried another GF4 card with DVI and it didn't work. Also used in another machine. Therefore the monitor is faulty. I have seen another forum confirming the problems experienced with this model. Looks like I found the problem. Thanks anyway for your help. Lee

GF4 ti4200 - Dell 1800FP

I have been trying to resolve an issue with DVI I cannot get the Digital output to work with the above combination. It's not a windows driver issue, as it doesn't work from boot-up I can't find any bios upgrade for my Chaintech GT20 GF4 ti4200 Anyone else had this problem with this. Thanks Lee

I have had a very stable amchine for many months. But recently I have had odd total shutdowns. No warnings no restarts. It only occurs when I use compression tools i.e. Winrar or Winace. And now I have lost two DVD-r's to this shutdown. Once with nero and once with Record Now Max. I can't see...

Thanks, I will give ultimate zip a try. The machine just shuts down. My machine is put through much more on a daily basis than using winrar. Not sure if something has been loaded which conflicts with these programs. I have tried using winrar/winace with nothing else running but the problem...

I am having problems with these programs. Not sure why but when used they both cause my machine to shut down. I have tried various versions. I installed them on my kids machine and they worked fine. It has worked in the past but now seem to cause this problem Any help please Thanks Lee
