Thankfully the pc runs cold enough with that fan disabled so I don’t have that noise driving me nuts and hopefully the rma process won’t take too long
So far on the downgraded firmware the fan controller seems to be fine

Try one RAM stick, and plug direct HDMI into the motherboard, do not use the GPU for now, reset CMOS. i have not had luck using Qflash ive been updating my BIOS for my aorus pro using the procedure that involves booting EFI USB and running the flash command manually with good success.

i could buy one...but both of them? and if so why would the SL controller not be affected at all. its been plugged in the same USB header as the TL controllers have been. i just switch them back and forth, and the SL controller works on either header without fail.
based on reddit, there seem to be a number of people ever since the recent firmware/software updates having wonky issues. for the fuck of it i just swapped the USB headers again and now it works. who the hell knows. it sure doesnt.

The fans have power and spin. the LED fans have no lighting, the LCD fans have the screen lit with the Lian Li logo, they spin but dont have any RGB and the controller doesnt show up in the device manager.

I have a win11PRO installer and key. full retail. it required me to go online to install it. its BS because i do NOT want to use my MS account for login.
also FWIW that stupid memory error is back with a fresh install and just windows updates run. it appeared after windows updates. again...
well itll have to wait till i reinstall windows. turns out the fan controller stopped working again. lian li suggested updating chipsets and BIOS if there was one. well there were chipset and bios updates so i did them...it went to boot into windows and well...it asked for my bitlocker recovery...
Yeah, I don’t think there’s a way to downgrade the firmware but you can downgrade to 2.0.17 software which the company company is offering right now because they realize there is at least some sort of issue… I did not end up doing that since the fans now seem to be working after running the L3...
