LOL..buying a GPU somehow qualifies people for "had it coming"?
I doubt normal ppl regret owning a RTX card for close to a year now. I know I don't.
Tech moves on, it always does.
If one worries about depreciation, maybe this hobby aint the right one for one's broke ass.
When prices get so high that I cant afford them anymore I'll stop gaming. Pretty simple.
In the end the only one in charge of my money is me, not some faceless corporation that feeds it stockholders.
Luxury items and all that. People buy shoes costing more. I'm amazed that some people feel...
My money is on Intel not coming out modestly in any way, price or performance.
Pretty sure they want to make an impact and modest pricing / performance ain't going to achieve that at this stage.
I wouldn't compare anything Intel has done in the past with GPU's with what they are aiming for now.
I'd be very surprised if Intel sold their cards for less than the competition if they are similar performers.
Intel has serious brand recognition, and is not usually something one thinks of first when looking for a value solution.
TBH I expect Intel to be priced high. Possibly even higher than AMD.
Point is, AMD met their customers spec and prize regardless of how great or not so great the arch is.
So that connection with Sony and Microsoft doesnt guarantee greatness for Navi Arch.
There seems to be a decent amount of RTX games in the not so far future. I would think that if one was interested in any of these titles Navi might not be the best choice.
