I have a dell and it has a socket 775 motherboard. Will it support core 2 or is there a difference in some 775 mobos.

6600gt + Oblivion ?

i have a a p4 3 ghz, 1.5 gb ram, and a 6800gs overclocked to 500/1200. It runs Not bad (considering the high requirements for the game.) although outside it drops to about 20 fps...with 1680x1050 res :D (i cant turn down the res, i just cant make myself do it)

its p4 630 prescott lga 775... and if i max out all the settings in games bottleneck wont be as bad... plus cpu upgrade soon...just tell me about psu

i have a dell (*sigh*) it is in my sig it consists of 2 dvd drives, 1x 160 gb hdd, p4 3 ghz, 1.5 gigs of ram. it has a 375 watt psu, dual 12v+ 18 a on both...(which runs my over clocked 6800gs at 500/1200) The 8800gts is way ahead of 6800 and requires more power although it is efficient...

aspire x nav case

I have the aspire x navigator case. I hooked up all the fans and they work, but they are slow Well, the fan speed adjuster isnt working and i did what it said on the box. Can someone with this case help me to check to see if i did it right?

Im looking to buy a core 2 processor, and a motherboard that supports it. I know "LGA 775" supports it but what exactly does it mean. Is that the chipset? Or maybe socket type (not that i know anything about it if it was either of them). Then there is 975 and 965...what is that? And as far as...

Onboard sound

I have a p5n sli mobo. I enabled onboard audio in bios. Then put the motherboard drivers disk in. Went to install the audio drivers and it didnt work. Went to the asus website, downloaded the drivers, and it said that i didnt have the hardware support. What should i do?
