Removing Northbridge HS (A7N8X)

I cant see well enough in there to be certain, but all I see are two little button like things on the side of the heatsink. I push them in as far as I can but nothing seems to happen, I dont want to just start prying cause I'm not sure how it is attached. Can anyone help me out?

Does anyone think that the north/south bridges on the Asus A7N8X need more cooling?

How do you get the HS off the Northbridge? I see the little tabs but I cant seem to figure out how to pull the thing off. I push in the buttons and pull? or do I need a crowbar or what?

A7N8X @ 200FSB! This motherboard rules!

I have a XP2700+ that I was looking to up to 200MHz FSB on a A7N8X. In the Bios it gives me the option for 100/133/166 and all the multipliers I could ask for, but seemingly no option to go to 200, what else do I need to do? (I'm not sure the bios version off the top of my head, it's whatever it...

Actually, The problem it seems is that the front case speaker jack, when the leads are attached to the motherboard it requires you to remove the jumpers that connects the line out to the line out jack on the motherboard... I need to split the signal somehow, anyone have an idea how to do it?

Do I need to get a different version of the Bios in order to unlock 200x2 FSB? or physically mod the chip? when I look in the bios it offers FSB of 100, 133 and 166 and it seems that all the multipliers are there. I saw in the manual that there was a jumper to enable 200 Mhz FSB only, but it...

I'm not to sure where the problem lies, but the issue is that the front speakers are not working while the rear ones are. The front cable is plugged into the green (line out) jack while the rear cable is plugged into the violet (surround) jack. I don't want to have to install my SB Live! in...

Overclocking? A7V8XD,XP2700+,CORSAIR 3200 CL2

I'm not so sure that is up-to-date... I know thats how it used to be, but I was under the impression that for 2400+ ones at least you only connected the last L3 bridge and as for the 2700, I have no idea. Can anyone else confirm?

What hsf would be best for OC'ing XP2700???

Well I haven't gotten a reply in a different thread so I'll repost my question here: Does the XP2700+ unlock with the last L3 bridge? or a wire mod? or someway different altogether?

do you have to use some wire trick as I've seen once or twice? or does connecting one or more of the bridges still work? In the 2400+ I read its the last of the L3 bridges but that's all the info I've had to go on.

I just have a couple questions concerning the A7N8X and the XP2700+... I hear that the BIOS does not unlock the multipliers for this chip, so can you physically unlock it much like the 2400+ and earlier? anyone have experience with this combination?
