OSX 10.1... the true competitor to Windows XP?

I bought a 500mhz iMac JUST for the ability to run OS-X.... I've always been a hardware guy and i love PC's for that reason. My 1.2ghz Athlon will still be my hotrod, my gamebox, my beast.... OS-X and the iMac are just another addition to my collection :) YellowDog Linux :) iz good too, no...

Is 50c Idle normal for a 1.33 ghz thunderbird?

I have a 1.2 with a Taisol 760092 (its a 760002 not w/o the tim) and arctic silver. With the stock fan I pull 45-47c Idle and 50-52C full Load, with Delta black label i get 43-45c Idle and 46-50 Full Load. Im moving to a PC-30 Lian Li, hopefully will cool a bit better once i install all my fans

Overclocking with ABIT...

what cards do you have in the slots. Also, keep in mind you'll be overclocking the AGP to 80MHz instad of 66MHz and at agp4x thats 320MHz instead of the 266MHz spec. Bumping up the FSB can have a negative effect on your hdd data as well.

TB 1.4 OC issue.

I had a Sparkle 300W psu and with my 1.2 athlon installed the voltages wavered back and forth, especially the 3.3. Also, vCore bounced back and forth and lockups were a pain in the ass. I purchased an Antec 400w PSU and every voltage is rock solid, with only +12 wavering to +11.95 under load...

Cpu fan

Alpha's should suck in air.... They have a shroud for that purpose. Unless you have heat source very close by (i.e. Dual Procs in some instances) they should suck in air to draw the cooler air by the lower parts of the fins.... Sorry folks, dont believe me? Click Here To Read It From Alpha

Actually a memory question

No, you can't use it with an older standard sdr board (i.e. A7V) b/c DDR DIMMs and regular ole' SDRAM are two incompatible formats. If you wanna upgrade, you'll need a new mobo that supports DDR DIMMs. :D
