recommendation for a new monitor?

A 15" LCD will have a 15" viewable whereas a 17" CRT will have about 15.8 to 16" viewable. LCDs having better focus are comfortable at slightly higher resolutions than CRTs though so the small area difference is negligable. Never owned a true flat screen but I've had no problems sitting here all...

Well... I thought my maths exams were good... I fail physics in the morning. So yes, you can be good at maths and bad at physics. Too many words!

Is there any reason to upgrade from IE5.0 to 5.5?

I think it ups the encryption level. I've only used English distributions though.
