Serious Direct X 9 problem. Clueless here.

OMG, I AM RETARDED!!!!! Just ran FarCry w/ Very High Water Quality, got past the point where it would almost always crash, no problem! Ran 3DMark03, no crash Can't test World of WarCraft (Realm maintenance) Rage3D's OC test thingie didn't crash. what did it take? A STUPID MOTHER...

Going for the gold

Just out of curiosity, did you have any issues with your set up? Like hard crashes in Direct X 9 games? I have a similar set up and my system is totally fubar on WoW and FarCry (but not Doom 3).

I don't think heat is an issue, I've checked all my temps. When I had ATI Tray it idles at like 48 degrees Celsius and hovered around 55 degrees under load. Doom III also runs perfectly for me (OpenGL game)

Serious Direct X 9 problem. Clueless here.

Here's the run down of games that don't work: FarCry when water quality set to anything but Low, always crashes within minutes / seconds of gameplay. If water's set to low, crashes about 15 minutes into play. World of Warcraft within minutes of play. Tried windowed mode with same results...

Video Crash in every game

Update: Super Pi worked, took ~50 minutes total. It seems like OpenGL games work fine. (I tried Doom III - 2 timedemo demo1 runs and about 5 minutes in game, Natural Selection without AA worked without crashing for the half hour I played, didn't try it with AA)

"Official" DFI nF4 Ultra-D / SLI-DR Thread

The reset button works fine, not the power. This is my first time building and I have too many wires zig zagging across it to even TRY and replace the motherboard lol. I'll look at that screwdriver thing, thanks.

"Official" DFI nF4 Ultra-D / SLI-DR Thread

I have a problem with my DFI LanParty UT nf4 Ultra-D, it might be the case, but, I can't power on the motherboard with the case power button, only with the EZ Touch Switch. My case reset button works fine, and I have the power wires hooked up correctly (I've tried incorrectly too, to no avail)...
